New Whimsies!!!!

Hey y'all, I got my two whimsies (polishes by Whimsical Ideas by Pam) in the mail today! I'm so excited about them! There is currently a wait if about two weeks before she sends you an invoice. But she ships like the next day. Pam doesn't believe in taking your money then making you wait a long time to get products so she only sends invoices for what she can handle at one time shipping wise! She is also sold out of LE Crazy Daisies labels but has Crazy Dasies regular label.

So, this post is going to be just pictures of the bottles! (Ok so I lied, I went ahead a put a coat of La Le Dots over polish I had on, but it was quick so I'm not going to count it. I'll do better swatches and pictures later when I have more time). So here they are Crazy Daisies Limited Ed. Label (which her neiece designed, which I think is soooo sweet) and La Le Dots! So check them out!

Jelly Sandwhich Manicure

Hey ya'll !

Hope, it is a nice day where you are, it is a dreary day here in Georgia. Normally a Sunday that is dreary like this would consist of church, lunch, nap, church, supper, and go to bed! However, since I have a cold and all I did yesterday was lay around the house, I was kind of hoping for a day of nice weather! While I was sitting around yesterday I decided to try something new (well new for me).

As a side not, Pam from Whimsical Ideas by Pam released a new Spring collection on Wednesday night at 10:01 pm. I waited until 10:02 to send my order in because I did not want to send it early and not get it in and not get the LE Crazy Daisies label. Well, she must have gotten tons of email in the minute between 10:01-10:02 because my order was not even in the first batch of orders she sent out! But they were shipped Friday and normally it takes two days to get here from Miami, so I am waiting for them to arrive! While stalking Pam's Facebook site I saw where there was a jelly sandwich manicure with one of the polishes I had ordered La Le Dots and it was beautiful. You know there will reviews of these two polishes to come ASAP!

Anyway, back to the topic at hand, for those of y'all who do not know a jelly sandwich manicure is a combo of base coat (optional), nail polish color, glitter polish, jelly polish, the optional another glitter and jelly coat, then a top coat to finish it off. Yes, I know you are thinking, wow that will be thick! Yes, it will be that is why it is important to use thin coats.Anyway, I have see these in the past they have not been my "cup of tea". I like for my glitter to be bright and sparkly! That is why I have never tried one! I did try some jelly/glitter combos that I did not like before I did the two that I did like!

So here are my two jelly sandwich manicures. Let me know what you think!

So these are the colors that I used in the first manicure. The colors are Whimsical Ideas by Pam in I Believe in Fairies, Ulta TuTu Cute, and Loreal Lilac Cooler. Here is the order I put them on!

Seche Vite Base Coat x1
Ulta Tutu Cute x2
Whimsical Ideas by Pam in I Believe in Fairies x1
Loreal Lilac Cooler x1
Whimsical Ideas by Pam in I Believe in Fairies x1
Loreal Lilac Cooler x1
Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coatx1

Wow! that was tiring to just type! Like I said above the base coat and second round of Jelly/Glitter are optional. Be sure that you are giving drying time between coats. But they do not have to be completely dry, just most of the way!

Here was my other attempt at a jelly sandwhich manicure! Here was my recipe!

Seche Vite Base Coat x1
Essie Come Here x2
Whimsical Ideas by Pam in  Falingo x1
Zoya Kate by the Small Things Blog x1
Whimsical Ideas by Pam in  Falingo x1
Zoya Kate by the Small Things Blog x1
Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat x1

So here they are! I am not sure that I am totally sold on the jelly manicure ideas, mostly because I do not own that many jelly polishes! But next time I see a jelly in a cute color, I will not initially disregard it because it is jelly like in the past! Y'all let and me know what you guys think about it!

Fab 5 Week One

Hey yall, so I've been trying to think of a way that I can combine a couple of my favorite things at one time. So, I've decided to do a Fab 5 every week, highlighting either new favorites that were discovered that week or good ole products that have been in my life for awhile! So here goes...

  • theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer-A silky smooth pressed powder that can be used as a highlighter, shimmer, and shadow. So I totally fell in love with stuff after receiving it in a Birchbox. I have traded for more of these sample sized compacts so I know have 4-5 of them! I am glad because I use it as a highlighter everyday and eye shadow some days! It has a beautiful shimmer and work beautifully as a highlighter!
  • Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint in Golden-This lightweight moisturizing tint evens out imperfections and fades the appearance of fine lines with its light-diffusing multi-mineral formula (from Jouer site). This was another Birchbox find! I totally fell in love with it! This is perfect for summer in the south! It gets way to hot to wear a lot of foundation. So this is the perfect solution for that! It also contains SPF 20, so that is another plus!
  • Harvey Prince Skinny Chic- The fresh and fruity blend of apple, mint, and grapefruit is specially formulated to keep us energized—and curb cravings to boot (from Birchbox site). So three for three now on products that were discovered through Birchbox! (Are you starting to see now why I LOVE my BB subscription so much, I find so many cool items) I am actually waiting to order this product from BB as soon as I get it comes off the waitlist! This is the perfect spring/summery scent. I have noticed the boosted energy or cravings being reduced, but I am still hopeful!
  • Essie Bachelorette Bash-a creamy, juicy fuchsia (Essie site). I ordered this polish after seeing a picture on the guess what... Birchbox Instagram! It was so cute and went to Amazon and ordered. I received it yesterday and immediately did a manicure with it that I LOVED! I actually took picture but I somehow deleted them :(! It is so pretty and I am sure that I will wear it a lot in the spring/summer months!
  • Tarte Park Ave Princess Mineral Bronzer- This is actually a deluxe travel size.  A whisper light, mineral-based bronzing powder (Sephora site). This is the only product that I have that does not have a Birchbox connection. I actually traded someone on Makeuptalk.com some of my products that I would never use for it! It is a really light bronzer, so if you do not want to much a bronzer, it is perfect for you. I actually use a couple of layers of it because I do like a little more color (I can't help it, I am a true southern girl)

Just a couple more close up pictures of the products! So I hope you liked my first Fab Five! Links below will take you to some sights if you would like to purchase them!

Tarte Park Ave Princess Mineral Bronzer -$29 http://www.sephora.com/mineral-powder-bronzer-P99809

Essie Bachelorette Bash- Retail $8 (cheaper on Amazon) http://www.amazon.com/Essie-563-Bachelorette-Bash/dp/B000S0A5X4

theBalm Mary-Lou Manize $24 rhttp://www.beauty.com/templates/brand/default.asp?brand=42563&list=1&cmbProdSort=rank&cmbProdPerPage=100

Harvey Prince Skinny Chic $55 50ml  http://www.birchbox.com/shop/harvey-prince-skinny-chic-50ml (like I said above, it is sold out, but you can join the waitlist to be notified when it comes in)

Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint in Golden $38 http://www.jouercosmetics.com/products/47/cartlist.aspx

So as you begin looking at the prices you may be thinking that some are rather steep. Like I said, I have gotten these through BB, Amazon, and trades, so I did not pay retail for any of it. If you email Jouer and ask for specific samples they will send you some to try to see if you like it before you shell out $38! Are these worth retail price, yes. I will pay the retail price when my samples run out!

Hope yall enjoyed my first Fab Five! Have a wonderful weekend!

Exciting New: My New Favorite Glitter Polish!!!

Hey Ya'll, happy almost hump day! So yesterday I got the best get over my Mondays blue surprise! A nail polish I ordered came! U say it was a surprise be wise since I ordered it I have not check tracking and was surprised it got here so fast! So this was a polish I wanted awhile back. But when I thought about ordering it and saw it was $13 I kind of flinched and so I really haven't thought about it! Since then I have spent over $20 for polish (but just a couple) so we see that opinion has changed about $13 being to much! Well I was administering the CRCT test this week and a question had Roman numerals on it and that made me think if it again! I guess by now you are wondering how the two relate! But you will see soon. So I ordered it! Well let's just say I am so thrilled I decided to do that! This polish is all kinds of amazing!

It's from Cirque and its name is XX which is the number 20 in Roman Numerals. This stands for the twenty different types of holographic glitter in it! They holographic glitters are kind of a pastel shad which makes it really unique compared to any other polish I have ever seen like this! So picture time... as you know with any holographic glitter it is hard to pick up the beauty of it, especially just using my Iphone as a camera! But I have tried! It's layered over my favorite black polish to layer over Alessandro in Midnight Black!

As a note, I normally do not included any notes on the formula if it is fine. So you will know if I don't mention the formula, then it was just average. This glitter was a little think. I did thin if after a couple of nails because it was beginning to clump a little. But saying that, this was a very minor problem and as far as I am concerned just part of dealing with a polish that has 20 types of glitter in it. But I just wanted to mention it so everyone is aware. My current thinner is by OPI and I got it at Sally's Beauty Supply.

Like I said pictures do not do it justice! These do not 1/2 of how gorgeous this polish is!  Just take my word that if you love glitter, you have GOTTA have this polish! I used one coat of Midnight Black, two coats of XX, with a third coat of just dabbing in some places, a coat of Glitter Food (review to come), which I rely on now with any glitter polish, and my good ol' stand by Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat. I also used it over a yellow polish and it was beautiful with that also!

I got compliments from teachers that I teach with that never notice my polish. But they noticed this one! Also feel free to search the web for pictures of this polish by other bloggers. There nails are probably so much better to look at and their pics better than my phone pictures!

So if you fall in love with this like I did then you can go to http://www.cirquecolors.com/xx/ to order it! Shipping was really quick!

IPSY April Review

Hey Ya'll, Sorry it's been awhile! Along with everything going on with work, church, etc...I started getting sick with what I thought was a stomach virus which lingered on and now the doctors say is my gall bladder uuugggghhhh!!!! Oh well, I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday and have had an amazing weekend! Anyway on to the post! Today I am going, to take a break away from nail polish reviews, I have a review for April's Ipsy Bay\g. Ipsy use to be My Glam. I have subbed to My Glam for over a year now. It is a beauty sample box that cost $10. It comes with 4-5 items. One thing unique about Ipsy is that the products come in a reusable bag instead of a cardboard box. So, first here are pictures of April's products, then I will talk about my feelings about it....

One thing I do like about Ipsy is just about every month everyone gets the same products but they may change in color or shade. But some months they do the  "you may get this or that" product. This was one of those months! Here is a list from left to right, top to bottom of what I got
Sation Nail Lacquer
Big Sexy Hair Powder Play
Be a Bombshell Blush in Sweet Cheeks
MICA Shimmer Eye Powder in Earth
The two items that were this or that, that I did not get were:
Big Sexy Hair Soy Renewal
Two Cosmetics Duo Eyeshadow

Here are closer pictures:

This is the bag that came with April's products. As you can see, I am already using the bag! Also check out my Charlaine Harris Sookie Stackhouse book Deadlocked. She has a new book coming out in the May so I am re-reading the last few books to get ready for her last book in the series :(

As far as a review on the products: Station polish was a horrible color, I really cannot see their being very many skin tones that it looks good on. Plus the polish is very thin and would take a lot of building it up. The Be a Bombshell Blush, I was actually really excited to be getting because they NEVER send blush! This color is actually a very pretty pink shimmery pink. However, I have so many pink shimmery blushes and hardly ever use those, that I have decided to trade this on trade list on Makeuptalk.com.( I actually already arranged a trade for it for a Tarte bronzer!) Big Sexy Hair Powder Play is just like a product I already have that I really like so I am excited to keep trying it out and see if I like it better then the other I have. It is used by just taping some powder in hair in an area where you what some extra volume, then shaking it just a little. I plan on doing a hair tutorial video using some in the near future so be on the look out for that! The Mica Loose Powder was in a pretty shimmery rose/bronze color. However, I am not that big of fan of loose powders.( I have also arranged a trade for this!)  So, that is April's bag. This turned out to be a pretty good bag. I liked the products, just not necessarily the colors.

Now my opinions on IPSY...I like this bag. However, one of my biggest gripes is they often have repeat brands which I really do not like. One example is Be a Bombshell, we have received a lip gloss, mascara, and now a blush from the brand. I really like sample boxes because you get to try different products from different brands. Other brands that have been a repeat are MICA, Big Sexy Hair Products, Costal Scents, Andreas Choice, etc... Another gripe, they will have a full size lip stick which is great, but then you will find out is was a discontinued shade. So if you fall in love, you are out of luck. This fact alone beats the purpose of sample boxes to me which is to try a lot of different products and see if you fall in love with any of them. Another gripe, the colors Ipsy sends are SOMETIMES out of season, last year I got a full size lipstick in a pretty well known brand, but it was really dark and not the season for it. Now, all that said, there are some really great things about Ipsy. They sends tons of makeup products which I love. They also send a range of different products from hair, nail polish, makeup, face products, etc. I also love the bags! I have found a use for all of them! Another perk, is it is just $10! That is what is comes down to. It is just $10 and since I normally find at least one product like I like, if not LOVE and I always can find a use for the bags, then I think it is worth the money. I am including the link to the site you can become a member and check out what has been in previous months bags.

Hope yall enjoyed the review and have a great week!

Whimsie Alert!!!!

He y'all I hope everyone had a wonderful Sunday! Today I have another Whimsie for you. This one was part of Pam's valentine collection! It sold out within the first days of going out. Then Pam's glitter supplier ran out of the glitter for it and she could not get anymore! So I had basically given up on getting this color. But then the supplier sent her, her personal stash of glitter and she was able to make a few more bottles and I got one! ( because I was on the wait list since the day after the release) Yea! It's was that popular! Pam released a LE label for the polish and it was really cute! Feel free to search on the Internet to find a picture of the label!

For this manicure I used Butter London Pillar Box Red as a base coat. Then two coats of Sparkly Markaly on top of it. I used my good ole stand by Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat  for the top coat. The accent nail is also another favorite Whimsie of mine, Moon Over Miami. It will be featured as the main polish in a review soon so I will leave the description for later!

So, Sparkly Markaly is beyond beautiful and pictures do not do it justice! Really no words describe it!  I kind of feel bad doing a review on this since as of now it is not available and may not ever be if she cannot find the glitter for it. Go to Facebook and check Pam out on Whimsical Ideas By Pam. Looked under her photos for the available polishes and then just email her which is listed on her site. Then she will send you an invoice, you pay through Paypal, and she will send you shipping confirmation soon! They cost $10 a piece and she will be releasing new colors soon!

Anyway so here it is.... Sparkly Markaly!

Birchbox April

Hey Ya'll,

Happy Saturday! I hope everyone is having as beautiful weather as we are here in northeast Georgia! Sorry that there have not been more post this week. I recently started a part-time job besides working as a Special Education teacher. I love children (obviously) and I love sports especially baseball and softball. So I'm working as a field supervisor at our recreation department  a couple of nights a week. I also work in the nursery at my church Wednesday and Saturday! So I do stay pretty busy even after I leave school. I started this blog because I enjoy sharing things that I love. I DO NOT want to do post just for the sake of posting and I want the post to be meaningful. So, with that out of the way it is time to do my first sample box post!

I joined Birchbox (BB) in January of last year, after being on the wait list for like 3 months. A quick overview  of BB is that it is a monthly sample subscription box that cost $10. You get a range of samples (and some full size products) of makeup, hair, skincare, perfume, nail polish, etc. You also get lifestyle items that range from food, tea, earphones, hairbands and holders, etc. So, I actually heard of BB from a blog that I positively love which is The Small Things Blog and that led me to requesting an invitation! So, after a seemingly LLLOOONNNGG wait I finally end up getting my invite and I joined. I loved it. I even loved it so much I got another subscription, under a different email and got my mom a sub under yet another email! So I get three boxes a month, two for me and one for my mom. Sometimes, actually a majority of the time, between the 3 boxes, one is a duplicate. They normally have from 20-30 box variations, so I don't know how I get so many duplicates. BB ask you to feel out  profile with things like age range, hair color and type, splurges, skin color, etc... Well all three account have different profiles, so that makes me think they do not use them.

BB often does curated or sponsored boxes and this months was Women's Health magazine. I love when the have worked with Glamour Magazine and when they had a Gossip Girl box. But Women's Health Magazine, which I do happen to like, I was not excited about. Turned out, I was right. This box was probably one of my least favorite boxes I have EVER gotten from BB. But, I do not expect to love every single box. So here is my April Box!

April Birchbox

The sunglasses nail file was just used to keep the macaroons from slipping down!

Here is the postcard that all boxes come with. It describes the product and list prices for full size items in that box.

Closer picture of the smaller items!

So here are my items I received:

- Beauty Protector Protect and Damage- This is the item I am most excited about! I cannot wait to try it! I am not sure the size on because it is not listed on the bottle. It is about 3 inches tall. It smells good. I will let  you know if I like it or not!

- Caudalie Divine Oil-(0.1 fl oz)The sheet says this can be used on skin, hair, and nails. I may give it a go on my nails (you all have seen how bad they are) maybe it will help!

- LAFACE Laboratories BEAUX YEUX Beautiful Eyes Concentrate Intensive -(0.1 fl oz) This product is used to halt wrinkle formation. I do not really need to use this yet. A full size of this product cost $160, so I really do not want to try it out and start liking it! I will probably trade it over on Makeuptalk.com. That is what I like to do with extra products.

- Supergloop! Daily Correct SPF 35 CC Cream- -(0.1 fl oz) This product says it provides corrective coverage and protects UVA, UVB, and infrared rays. I may give this a try, but it is pretty small so it may not even be enough to get a good idea if you like it. A full-size of this $32

- Hail Merry Chocolate Macaroons- These macaroons are raw, vegan, gluten-free, and made with only natural, non-GMO ingredients. A full-size are $5. My paraprofessional and I ate the two macaroons from inside. They were definitely not my style. I did not like them at all and neither did my paraprofessional!

Ok, so like I said, this was one of my least favorite boxes. Since I love makeup and nail polish and this box had neither, I was not to thrilled. But that is how it goes with these boxes and I still love Birchbox! Another great perk for BB is that you get to review each product and earn points. You also get points for every purchase you make!  For every 100 points you earn you get $10 to spend in the BB shop. This is a wonderful perk! If you would like to join BB follow this code below and they will send you an invite when a spot comes open!

Another Whimsie...Falingo

Hey Ya'll!

Hey everyone! Sorry that it has been so long since I did a post! Busy week coming back from Spring break and getting read to start state testing (add a groan in for emphasis as you read it )! So I have had sample boxes rolling in so you will start to see those in the next few days. but until then it time for another nail polish. It's another Whimsical Ideas By Pam polish. I actually ordered this as a gift because the other polish I had ordered got delayed for an unknown reason in Atlanta! But I got them both on the same day even though they were ordered a week and a half apart, so I decided to keep one and it was Falingo. The other was gorgeous also, Kismets Pajamas, but I LOVE corals and you will see this has some beautiful coral in it! Also, sorry about the crazy hang nails and cuticles that are a mess. I promise that I am using my Julep Cuticle Treatment twice a day, every day!

Essie Tarte Deco

Here is the base color I used with Falingo. It is Essie Tarte Deco. I love to trade things I've got in sample boxes that I will not use and this was a product of one of those trades. I LOVE it! I wear it all the time especially Summer and Spring.

Falingo

Sorry these first two pictures are so dark!

Here is Falingo! I used two coats and with a little filling in with a third coat for the places that I missed! I love the colors of the flakes (?) in this polish. They are an orange shimmery color, with coral bar and dot glitters. In the last picture, I tried to get it close enough that you could see all the cool colors in the polish but you still cannot see all the gorgeousness in this polish! I used Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat on top of the polish.

I included the in back of the last picture one of my absolute favorite self tanners. It is called Comodynes Self-Tanning Intensive and Uniform Color towelettes. So I discovered these through Birchbox! Through the trading I talked about earlier in this post I have accumulated and stash of these and I am glad because for a box of 8 wipes is $14.99!

TOMS!!!

Hey Ya'll!

I hope that you guys are having a wonderful Saturday! I've been working on Special Ed. paperwork all day so mine has not been that much fun! I have very short post today's, but that does not mean that it is any less of a favorite of mine...TOMS!

I was really resistant on joining the TOMS bandwagon. However, once I became a teacher I decided to give it a try and I of course love them! Here are the pairs I own...

Snow Leopard Vegan Women's Classic
I saw these on a girl while at a class I was attending and FELL IN LOVE! I actually ordered them on my phone on our next break in the conference! I have pratically worn these out!

Navy Women's Glitter

These are probably my least favorite of my TOMS. I ordered them in a 7.5 since the 8's in the Snow Leopard were kind of big. Well I kept hoping, hoping, and still hoping they would stretch out! But not so much luck. I later found out that the Glitter do not stretch like the others!

Turquoise Women's Zebra Vegan Classic

I really love these! I ordered these to wear in the Spring and Summer and I have already worn them a good bit!

Ash Canvas Women's  Classic

I just received these in the mail yesterday, but I have already worn them once! I love that they can be worn with so much!

So that is another of my faves! Theses four pairs range from $44-$54. I thought it was a little steep at fist, but I have come to realize it is worth it for the quality. They also donated a pair for every pair that is purchased to help those who are in need. Also you can normally find a $5 off coupon if you just search TOMS coupons!

For those of you who are wondering when the beauty and sample boxes will make an apperance be patient. Around the second week of the month they start coming in and I will be overload with them (and totally overjoyed to be overloaded!)

***Pictures are not mine! Two of my four pairs are not in the best of conditions!

New Fave Store...Entourage

Hey Ya'll

It's Friday, any other week I would be jumping up and down because it's Friday! However, Friday of Spring Break week is not as exciting, it means it is almost over! But I do miss my sweet students and amazing co-workers so I guess it will be OK. It is also starting to warm back up from the cold spell we had the past two days so that is another reason to be happy!

So, as I promised, today I will get away from the nails and show another favorite thing...jewelry! My love of jewelry (costume jewelry) is really close to my love to nail polish! Now on to how I discoverd my new fave place. About 5 months ago some of the high school youth in my church were complementing my necklace. That led to them telling me about a store they loved in a town, Athens which about an hour from us. So next time I was in Athens I decided to go by...WOW. It had the cutest clothing, that not only high school/college age would wear but also us in the upper 20's would also wear. So I picked out a few things, but then I saw the jewelry section which was AMAZING! Since that fateful day I have been back two times, each time purchasing jewelry! Before deciding that a store will be a new favorite I have a little checklist!
  • First, I have to go at least three times in a row and buy things that I just absolutely, cannot leave the store with out purchasing, check!
  • Next, the store staff has to be amazingly friendly and helpful, check!
  • It also has to be affordable, check.
  •  Last, the store has to have a variety of styles and new inventory, check! So, with all four items checked,  I officially decided that Entourage is now a favorite of mine.
So check out my jewelry purchases from my three visits!

                                                                    First Trip

Love purple!

I have worn these earrings to death! I feel they are great to wear with bigger necklaces! I also included a picture of another love Tall, Vanilla Bean Frappachino from Starbucks! I am not Weight Watchers so I do not get to indulge much, plus the nearest Starbucks is an hour away!

Second Trip

I love corals and pinks so this was perfect for me! I have worn it so many times to spice up an outfit!

I feel in love with necklace at first sight! I love the different size square. When I first bought it I really wanted it in a different color, but this was what they had. So I got it and have really liked it. I wore it Easter Sunday and got a lot of complements!
The bracelet is SO MUCH BETTER in person. It's really cool and casual and I love it!

Last Trip (for now)

So I debated about this one for awhile yesterday. I liked it, but I liked a coral one also. But one or co-workers/friends, Amy, talked me into it! I can see myself wearing it though!

My co-worker/friend, Wendy, spotted this one. After deciding she did not want it, I snagged it up. I do not know how I missed it. Probably because I normally go for the bigger necklaces and miss the smaller ones on my first look through! I know I will get tons of wear out of this one. I even promised Wendy she could borrow it! Also, the scarf that has been the background for all the pictures is from Entourage also. I picked it up on the second visit and love it, even though it is a little long!

So what do you think about my jewelry purchases from Entourage? One thing I did not mention is that the most expensive piece was only $16.50. The blue necklace with the charm above was only $10! That is why I love this store. It is cute and affordable!

Check out their website at https://shopentourageclothing.com/. You can find their locations and shop online! Please check them out!

Hope everyone has a great Friday and weekend!!!!!

Lynderella Inner Comet

Hey Ya'll

Good afternoon from a COLD, RAINY Georgia! I guess that is what I get for bragging about the beautiful weather during my Spring Break! So today I went shopping with three other teachers and I have officially found a new favorite store to introduce to you tomorrow but for now it's another nail review!

Today I have another "indie brand" to show you. The name is Lynnderella. Now hopefully everyone has not "jumped ship" on me after they saw the name. I know some people don't believe in buying her stuff and I understand why they feel that way, but I do occasionally purchase her polishes. She sells her stuff directly on Ebay. The standard cost is around $23 ( I say standard because she has some LE polishes that go a lot higher) and includes shipping. Now I know a lot of you just took a big gulp and I understand that also. That is why I only own four of them and two of those were gifts!  No matter your feelings, one thing you cannot deny is that she makes gorgeous glitter packed polishes. Not all polishes are as glitter packed as this one, but all 4 I own are. (not a big surprise there, right?)They are hard to describe so I will let you look at the pictures!

                                                            Inner Space

Ok, as you can see like on middle finger that I went a little to glitter thick! But that sometimes happens with a polish that so much glitter. There colors I used on my fingers were: from L-R are Essie Cascade Cool, Essie Tarte Deco, Julep Simone, and Julep Shenae. I used two coats of each of these colors with two coats of Inner Space and two coats of Seche Vite! One problem with having so much glitter is that it can be rough so top coats are a must for this polish. Other than that I love this polish! I love all the unique colors of the glitters and the shapes that are included in it. Is it worth the $23????? Hmmmmm, that is the questions isn't it? I guess we will see!

Lynnderella sells on ebay under her name so if you are interested, check it out! If you have any questions feel free to leave them in my comment box!

I also included another favorite of mine...People Style Magazine! Love, love, love it! I love celebrities and I love clothing and accessories, so this combines both!

Most Amazing Polish Ever... Miss Wohelo by Whimsical Ideas by Pams

Hey Ya'll-Get Ready for the most Amazing polish ever...

OK, are you ready for this? The reason I started this blog was to pass on things that I love and new things I discover. Well today's post totally fits into those categories. Around the end of December when all the AMAZING nail blogs that I follow began posting their faves of 2012 I saw names that I had for the most part heard of, but I did see a new name pop up in more than a couple of blogs that I had not heard of...Whimsical Ideas By Pam. So I go to her facebook page and start to learn about her. Well it just so happens that around this time she had posted pictures of her Valentines collection for 2013. Well of course everyone of them were BEAUTIFUL! So when it came the time and day that the polishes could be ordered, I ordered one. Well Pam does it different than most people. You send her an email and she will send you an invoice when she gets to your order, you pay her on Paypal, then she ships it out to you. Well, apparently I underestimated Pam popularity. It took her a couple of days to get my order, then she shipped out very quickly. Of course, when I got the polish I was totally in love. Ordered more, the wait time was down a little by the but not much. So after about month, I placed an order for my sorority sister as a gift for being great. By now she back to an almost immediately invoicing you, if you pay that day, she will ship it out the very next day! So I get the polishes that  I ordered for my sorority sister and love all of them. BUT, one is totally mind blowing beautiful! So guess what...my sister did not get that polish, I did! This polish is my absolutely favorite polish that own, which is saying something with all the gorgeous colors I own. Besides the fact that Pam makes amazing polish, she is the sweetest person you will ever deal with. I had an accident with a polish that I had just ordered off ebay, after trying to get an answer from the maker I finally gave up and just asked Pam. Within in 30 mintutes she had respond with answer to my question. Love her! Anyway, here it is, by Whimsical Ideas by Pam, Miss Wohelo!

This is an American Eagle scarf under it from last Spring!

OK, so after yesterdays post you probably expected a glitter packed color. As beautiful as it turned out in the picture, it is 100% better in person. I used three coats of it because it is kind of sheer. I also used Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

Don't you just love it? Well if you don't see has TONS of other colors like are lighter, with hearts, moons, etc. She has something for everyone!

One last picture proof that I have almost used a whole bottle!!!! Can you believe it?

If you are interested in purchasing any of Pam's WONDERFUL polish log on to Facebook and search Whimsical Ideas by Pam. She does not have a website or store...this is her store! Once you get there look at her photo albums and decide what you would like. Email (the email is on her facebook)her you wants and she will get back to you. Like I said she is extremely fast*** unless she has just released a collection and all of us go crazy ordering!

*** She is fast and ships with confirmation and it normally only takes a couple of days to get to me because she is Florida. BUT, you have to account for USPS. I've got a polish from her that has not moved in in 4 days)

National Autism Day inspired Mani

Hey Ya'll,

Today's post is a BLUE polish in Honor of National Autism Day! I worked with a couple of students everyday who are autistic and they are amazing children and bring a smile to my face EVERYDAY!

I hope everyone enjoyed opening day like me, especially since my Braves won! Heck, I got to enjoy it while I can, because you never know with the Braves! Anyway, back to nail, I assume that  is the reason you came here!

I got my add on from my Julep April box, Ally. Ally is described by Julep as electric blueberry frost. I used two coats. I did not see much frost, but maybe a little. But  you be the judge...

                                                                               Ally

OK so this was another situation of the polish looked brighter and more electric on the website then in person. Nevertheless it looked like a good base for a glitter. One of my absolute FAVORITE things is glitter polish, especially indie glitter polish! So I chose one of my top three favorite in the whole world, Lush Lacquer. They are a mother/ daughter pair who are super sweet and make glitter like nobodys business! I love to buy their minis and test out what I love and then order a larger bottle of it! You can find them on www.etsy.com/.  My favorite glitter from them is Lite Brite which is a crazy beautiful mix of red, pink, purple, green, yellow, blue, and orange in medium and large squares and large hexagon glitters all in a clear base. SO BEAUTIFUL!

                                                           Ally and Lite Brite

This picture does not show the beauty of this glitter! If you love glitter and indie you should check out Lush Lacquer on etsy!

As soon as I opened my Ally package I immediately thought of two other colors that I thought may be dupes for it! You you check it out!

Comparison of Julep Ally, Essie Butler Please, and Nails Inc. Baker Street

All pictures was taken inside

On my thumb is Essie Butler Please, on my pointer finger Nails Inc. Baker Street, and Middle Finger is Ally. I used two coats on all three! The picture makes the colors looked closer than they look on your nail. Ally does have a little more frost then the others, especially in person. It also is a more royal blue then the other two.If you love the Essie and/or Juelp but wish it had a little more frost to it, then the Juelp will be perfect. However, I do not think it is a must have!

Hope you enjoy this post! I'm headed to lake with the dogs. I am SOOOO happy we are blessed with perfect weather here in Georgia while I am on spring break from my special ed teaching job! Have a great day ya'll!

Hey Ya'll

Hey Ya'll and welcome to my blog! First off, just a warning...I am not a professional at any of the things I love! They are, as I said, just things I love! I am a Special Education here in Georgia, who just happens to have a love for, you guessed it, nails, makeup, and jewelry! My main reason for starting this blog is because I have  found so many wonderful products and I want to share them with everyone!

Happy Opening Day everyone. Being a true southern girl I am so excited to be on spring break and to be on spring break on opening day of baseball. All I can say is GO BRAVES!

On to then first post...Julep. Julep combines to of the things I love most nail polish and sample boxes. I kind of have a love-hate relationship with Julep, but currently we are on the love end of it!  I am not going to go into a long explanation of what Julep is (but I will post a link at the bottom if you want to check it out.)To make it short and sweet, they are a subscription box that cost $19.99 and contains nail polish and beauty products, depending on the style you pick! I normally chose it "It Girl" because you get three polishes instead of two polishes and beauty product. But this month I went with "Boho Glam" because I liked the colors!

Anyways, enough talk, here is what I got!

                                                                            Kaylen

This is Kaylen, sorry the bottle is upside down! Ok, I now have a new respect for all the AMAZING nail bloggers that I visit on a daily basis! There are a ton of them and I do not even want to mention them in the presence of this picture! I actually thought I did a pretty good job painting my nails, but once I looked at the pictures I saw that I have lots and lots of room for improvement! Anyway...back to Kaylen, it is a neon orange. I did use a white under it (Julep Kate, which I did not chose for any particular reason) because I like to do that with anything that is described as neon. I do like Kaylen. Maybe once I get a little color on me (most likely from sun-less tanner, not the actual sun), then I will like this even more! The top coat is Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat, which I LOVE!

                                                                       Lena

Next up is Lena, which is described by Julep as "Teal with gold shimmer". This color looked much, much brighter on the Julep selection screen then it turned out to be! I like this ok, but I feel like it is a color that I have seen replicated over and over. But who knows it may come in handy when I  do a nail art! Again, I used Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

My Beauty Product was Mighty Nail and Cuticle Serum. As you can tell from my pictures, this product was much needed and will be put to good use!

Pros and Cons of Juelp: As I said earlier, I do have a love/hate relationship with Julep. I will go a couple of months and skip the boxes, then go months where I love the colors and even add on polishes to my box! But one big Con is the bottles are only 8 mL. In comparison, the Zoya mini that I just ordered is 7.5 mL. In comparison with a Full Size OPI is 15 mL. So compared to other main stream brands you are only getting, essentially a mini size. But for the most part, that does not bother me because I very rarely use a whole bottle of any polish. Another Con I have found with Julep is their polish does not sit well in between usage. It may be a month or a couple of months but I almost always have to use a thinner. The thinner I currently use is Orly Nail Lacquer Thinner. A Pro is Julep comes up with some amazing colors and totally made me fall in love with pastels! Julep also normally sends a surprise extra in the box like a glitter pot, rock candy (which was in this months box), twistband like pony tail holders) Another PRO, Like I said above it cost $19.99, but they always have promos going like pay a penny for your first box, just use the link below and go through the become a Maven process, the put JULEPVIP and you will only pay a penny!

Well here it is my FIRST POST! I hope you enjoyed my it. Please let me know if their is anything I can do or questions I can answer!  I am going to included a link to Julep if you are interested in trying it. In the interest of FULL DISCLOSURE I will get reward points if you use the link (I'm just sayin) However, with the penny promo, if you join for the penny then cancel I will not get the points, but I want you guys to get the BEST deal possible! It is how I got started with Julep and I have been using it for over a year! Enjoy!!!!
