Glossybox June- Dallas Shaw Collaboration

Hey ya'll!

Hope you have had a wonderful weekend! I got my much anticipated Glossybox yesterday! I was actually not as excited about this box as I was a couple of weeks ago. If you have not been following the blogs about it to make it short and sweet, Bondi had worked with Dallas Shaw to create 6 six shades to be released in this box. But Dallas Shaw's attorney let Bondi know about a week before the box was about to be released that they were not going to be able to sell the polish after the box came out! Bondi had intentions to from the start so Bondi pulled out. I totally do not blame Bondi for pulling out. They are a group that donates all money after to cost to charities. Below are the pictures that were included in the GB Magazine which I guess was printed and ready to go before the Bondi/ Dallas Shaw stuff happened! Here is there link if you would like to try out their polish and support this great company! http://www.bondinewyork.com/

Aren't these colors really pretty. I would have loved to have ANY of them. Believe me they are so much better then the color from the replacement brand!

                                                           So to the Glossybox...

This is a picture of the box and a picture if the insert that list the products that were included. It was designed by the oh so great Dallas Shaw (I say that in a very sarcastic tone). I know that this was a collaboration box, but every page of the glossy magazine had her picture on it. Well not every page, but out of the 38 pages there are only 9 pages that she is not on!  After the Bondi thing I was over her by the time I got the box! Nevertheless, on to the contents!

Here is the full box. I will go on to the individual items below!

tarte Complexion Enchancing Lipstick

Fair-to-Light

Since the Bondi was not included in this box, this became the item I was most excited for! I was really impressed by it! This is a swatch of it! It looks a lot better on the lips then swatched. I am more into the shimmery lip gloss (I can't help it, I am a southern girl), but I do like this product! Full size is $14.00. I think that this was a full size

Oscar de la Renta Essential Luxuries

This was the other item I was really excited to get. It included 6 small spray samples of different fragrances. I found three of the 6 that I really liked. In the GB Magazine it included description of each smell and inspiration behind the smells! Full size for this is $150.00

SpaRitual Nail Polish
 Kiss the Cook

This was the replacement for the Bondi polish. I absolutely hate the color! I wear just about every color nail polish that there is, but this ain't one of them! The formula was good so I am going to try and trade on MUT for another color in it. In all the marketing that I saw for it was an orange color that was great for summer (check the photo below with a swatch of the polish color). This is soooooo not a summer color! The polish is $12.00

c. Booth Honey Almond Dry Oil Mist

I really like this product. It smells really amazing and felt awesome going on! Full size
is $8.00.

Philip B. Volumizing and Clarifying Shampoo

I have not used this stuff. I do not care for the way it smells though! I will probably but it up for trade on MUT so maybe it can go to someone who can use it!  Price was not listed on the card.

So here was the Dallas Shaw Collaboration box. It was definitely better then the regular boxes. I am cancelling my GB subscription. I will probably re-sub when they do another collaboration box or if it looks really good. At $21/box I would like to see more/better brands! I have cancelled once and they got me back in December with a 40% code. Since December there have been three good boxes, this one, the Man Repeller box which was AMAZING and another collaboration and one regular box they had in December. So out of 7 boxes only three were good! Not a good rate for $21! Let me know what you think. If you got a GB what color polish did you get? Really interested to see the other colors that people got!

Lush Lacquer...Wow!

Hey ya'll!

Hope you guys are having a wonderful weekend so far! We had a birthday party for my grandmother is very sick today. She wasn't aware of it but we were still celebrating getting to have her another day!

Anyway, today I am doing a review of a few Lush Lacquer colors that I just got! Lush Lacquer had a much anticipated release of their neon collection, that was postponed from earlier this year so I was so excited when they were finally released! I got two of them because I am on a nail polish budget! But I totally loved them! So here we go...

Chicks Rule

Ok, so I just realized that these are pretty crappy photos as far as the mani! Sorry about that! You can kind of get an idea of how awesome this polish is! I used it after on top of a white base. The pointer and ring finder are RubyWing Crowd Surf and KB Shimmer in Don't Pink Twice. I used two coats. Then like I do with a lot of my neon glitter coats I put a little on a plate and kind if placed a couple of glitter pieces. The a base coat of Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat!  I really hated to even take this mani off, I loved it that much!

TGIF

This polish is right up my alley! I love all the colors combined with the black and white! I used the polish with two different bases. the pointer and ringer finger use Julep Rebel and the others used Zoya Blu. I used two regular coats, the another coat to just touch up areas. I used my usual base coat Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat. I really got a lot of compliments when I wore this polish. I did catch myself looking at this polish a lot!

I plan on purchasing more when the budget allows! So if you want to purchase check it out at there Etsy shop under  Lush Lacquer

As a side not, I've actually hide some polish from Feburary from them that the bottle broke. So I sent them an email to ask the best way to get the polish out to another bottle and they told me that they would send me another bottle. I was really surpised! I thought that was really sweet. I had an accident with another indie brand that the bottle broke when I open it out of the package and was told that it was heat and their was nothing they could do! So props (wow, I just said props :)) to these wonderful ladies! So in honor of that I just thought that I would post some picks of the mani I did before the bottle broke!

Clowning Around

This was the broken bottle just to show you how it broke. It was so weird! I just opened the top and the whole top came off! I used this polish with a white coat obviously and the ring finer I used RubyWing Color Changing polish in Groupie! I used two coats and the dabbing method I described earlier!

Fab Five...4 Edition

Hey yall!

I hope you guys are getting ready to leave for an amazing vacation! I am not :(!  Sorry it has taken so long between Fab Fives. I was looking for a couple of other items to add to it. But here it is so check out this edition of my Fab Five

                                                                      Fab Five

First up is the Tweezerman Filemate I got two of these of birchboxes I think in April. I have totally fallen in love with them! It works great and still is filing good after a couple of months! Checkout Birchbox.com here! It cost $5.00

Next up, Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. This is great for the humidity here in the south! I mean your makeup can seriously melt off in an hour here! But this stuff really helps to keep it on long. All night, uhh, that maybe a stretch, but it does extended the life of it. If you live somewhere that is not quite as hot and humid as Georgia, then it may actually get you through the night! It cost $29 and you can buy it here at Urban Decay

The third product is twistband Birchbox Nautical Hair Tie Collection . I love twistbands ever since I discovered them in a Birchbox (BB) a year ago. But these cuties take it to a whole other level! I actuatlly got mine in a trade on Makeuptalk.com (MUT)
since I did not get any in my boxes this month. I think I am actually going to have to order the whole set. I was trying to get more in trades, but it seems like everyone is hanging on to theirs. I am going to add these to a makeup box I am making for a wedding, because they will be great on a honeymoon to throw hear up while swimming! They are $14 for six of them at Birchbox.com. http://www.birchbox.com/shop/twistband-custom-summer-nautical-collection .Check out this link to see how cute the others in the collection are! They are so cute around your wrist also! Don't you just love it!

The fourth product is an oldie for me but I thought that I would share it for any of you curly hair girls, its Miss Jessie's Quick Curls.  Now I am sure if you have curly hair you have been looking for helping and most of you have heard of this brand. I actually heard about it again through BB and really liked it. I use this in my hair when I really want it to be curly. I have different products to do different things and this gets my hair super curly! This is the sample size in it. It can get expensive so I normally just order this size off their website. The 2oz is $9.00 and the larger size is 8oz $32. Here is the Miss Jessie's link. You can get some free samples from here also so you can try some stuff out!

Last is the Suki Exfoilating Foaming Cleanser. I got this in this months BB. I normally do not like exfoliating cleansers, but this stuff is great. It makes your face so soft and clean feeling. It has a wonderful lemon smell. Full price is $32.95 on BB.I am not sure if it is worth that yet. But I will let you know once I am through my sample. Checkout it out here!

I just wanted to add a pic if my sweet lab named Chasity! I love her!

So this was another edition of my Fab Five! If you have a product you LOVE and could not live without, please let me know! I am always dying to try new items and new inspirations sometimes! You can leave a comment or email me at heathereaves6@gmail.com!

Another Wonderful Whimsie Day

Hey ya'll!

Hope you are having a wonderful week so far! Sorry it's been a little while! I just have not had time to get pictures on the computer, then on here! But here I am! Guess from the title you figured out that it a is another Whimsie post! But I know you are not tired of them because they are sooooooo awesome! So here we go!

First up is Sweet Baby James. I mean the name alone is amazing so you know the polish will be great! I used this over a light blue polish NYC Skyline Blue! It has peachy/pink square glitter, light blue square glitter, and squate white glitter which I think really set this polish off! I used three coats on this but last coat was very thin! Formula wise it was good. Really love this polish. I have already worn it twice (which is saying something)!

Next up: I ♥ NY

First, sorry that I do not have any pictures of the polish with the actually mani! I could not find the bottle when I went to take the pictures! But I found it yesterday in the couch! Now this mani was not suppose to be 10 different base colors. I was actually testing it to see which color would look best. But then I could not decided and I loved like 8 of them! So I just left it like it was! I NEVER thought a red, black, and white polish would look good with so many colors but it did! This polish has black and white small circle glitter and red hearts. I am not going to list the colors but if you want to know a specific color you can comment or email me at heathereaves6@gmail.com. This formula was great, no problems at all! Again, another LOVE! My favorites were the pointer finger in the 2nd picture which was Nails Inc. Baker Street and the pinkie in the first picture which was Color Club Pardon My French!

                                                              Next up: Wicked

So excuse the horrible picture on this. I took this before I could clean it up and I am glad I did because I accidently deleted the finish manis pictures so this is all I have! This was from her Halloween collection and it is amazing! It is a green base color with red and white (which is bigger) hex glitter and big black dots which is my favorite! I buy any glitter polish that has the large dots! I used Pam's Kiss Matte matte top coat over it and I really loved the effect even though you cannot tell so much here! I used this with a white base coat. I have used green base coats and it does look good with them, just depends on what you are looking for!  The accent nail is Pam's Sparkly Markaly (which I have reviewed here if I remember correctly)This was the original one. She ran out of the glitter because it was so popular and could not get more of it. So the new one has little bit larger glitter which I think is really cute. It makes me want to own both of them. Just wanted to note this because if your order it now, yours will look a little different, but still amazing!

So that's three I had tonight. I have more that I have not posted about yet, but I will save those for another day! If  you are interested in buying Pam's polish check her out on facebook under Whimsical Ideas by Pam. She does not have a store, you just send her an email and she will send you an invoice then pay using Paypal. I was so confused on my first purchase, but now I love how she does it! Let me know what you think in the comments or if you have any questions email me at heathereaves6@gmail.com

June Ipsy- So so month!

Hey ya'll!

Hope ya'll are having a great week! My has been so busy! So sorry it took so long for me to do this Ipsy. I do not get in such a hurry to post it if I don't love it! Anyway, here are the pics.

I do TOTALLY love this bag! I've been using it as a clutch with money, cell, debt card, drivers liscence and lipgloss. So I have totally gotten my $10 out of this bag!

PSSSST! Dry Shampoo I  already have a full size of this from my local Walgreens. I really hate it when sample boxes included stuff that I can get from a local drugstore. Well,I mean sometimes it's ok, but I prefer to get samples of stuff that are not readily accessible! As far as the product, I really feel that just about all dry shampoo works the same so it is a cheaper way and works pretty good. It also smells great! It's the best smelling dry shampoo I have!

J Cars Sparkling Cream Palette- this product looks pretty, but I do not think I will use it. Back in my going out to club days I would have worn this out but now I just do not see myself wearing it. I've put in on my trading list on Makeuptalk (MUT). But if it does not get traded I may ended up swabbing it to see what it looks like!

Chella Highlighting Stick in Ivory- This is another product up for trade. I LOVE highlighters, but I have found some wonderful ones and really do need another. I did swatch and it gives off a very subtle color. If I has not already plenty of great highlighters I would have been really excited about it!

NYX Blush- This another item that I was thrilled about the idea of them sending blush out. This color is just not right for me. Maybe it will work better in the fall!

Last was a Starlooks Lip Liner. This is another brand I am not familiar with. I do not use lip liners so this was a totally dud for me!

Ipsy did send some cool stuff out this month. One item was a Cailyn Eyeliner that I hoping to get in purple. I have actually arranged a trade for this already! The other item was J Cats Fake Eyelashes and glue. I love to cut eyelashes down and use them for date night, weddings, formal events, etc! But unfortunately this was not a lucky month for me! Maybe next month Ipsy and I will get back on the right wavelength!

Ipsy is $10 and you can subscribe here! There is normally a waiting list so you may have to be patient and wait!

Popsugar...Another great month!

Hey ya'll!

Happy Sunday! Hope you have got to spend it with your dad! I have!!! I hope where you are it is cooler then it is here! It is smoldering here in Georgia and working summer camp in it is about to kick my booty!

I was so excited on Tuesday at the PO when I picked up my packages and my Popsugar (PS) was there! For the second month in a row I did not look at any spoilers and this was mostly because I got mine earlier in the month! It must be lucky for me not to look because for the second month in a row I love it! So here it goes...

Here is the June Box! Doesn't it just look fun? So here is each item!

First we start with my favorite item! This beautiful scarf! It's by Gorjana & Griffin (GG) Zuma Scarf. It is a $62 scarf. I love this so much. I figured it could be my new lucky scarf so I braved the 90+ degree heat and wore it to take my Special Ed Adaptive Curriculm test. (I am currently a special ed teacher, but I wanted to become certified to teach self contained class. ) So  sorry for that side trip, back to Popsugar! I wore this with a white tee and blue jean leggings and I got so many complements on it! GG also included a coupon for $25 off a purchase at GG. I will be using this for sure!

Next up Revenge Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger. I am not sure if I have talked about this or not since this is mostly a beauty blog, but I love to read. I mean LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! It makes me HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY! (Our camp theme this week was Duck Dynasty so I have been using this phrase a lot!) Of course, I read the book The Devil Wears Prada and totally loved it! I will be starting this book soon. I am currently trying to finish reading Stephen King's Dark Towers series which has been a challenge because it's so long! But I loved getting this book in the PSMHB! It's the second one since I have been subbed! Retail of this book is $25.99

Next up was the Juice Beauty Stem Cell Repair Moisturizer. This was a full size and cost $65. I have actually gotten this in two other sample boxes and I do not loved it like the price tag shows. BUT, I was able to trade it on Makeuptalk.com for some awesome items that I really wanted to try so I was happy. They also included samples of there CC cream in Warm and Natural Glow. I've seen on  another blog that these samples are $5 a piece. So this makes this a $75 dollar value. This sample box is really getting up in price! They also included a coupon for 20% off coupon and free shipping.

Hard Candy Fitness DVD- Addicted to Sweat 4
This is suppose to use the secrets Madonna's use to stay in shape. I am more of a runner, playing sports like softball, etc.. I am not a work out video kind of girl! But it still a $19.95 value. I will put in on my trade list on MUT!

Popcorn, Indiana FIT Popcorn... From their website" All the taste and crunch you crave, nothing artificial and...here’s the best part... only 40 calories or less per cup. All the taste without the guilt trip." I have not tried it yet, but it does look promising! This runs about $6.00 a bag on the website.

Project 7 Quench The Thristy Wintergreen Mint- This company makes products that give to charities. Proceeds from each tube go toward helping to provide clean water. I love a company that helps support other things besides their CEO and board members pockets! It cost about $1.80

So here is the total $190.74. I think that is amazing for a $35 sample box! This total does not included the two coupons that were included. I will be using the $25 GG coupons so I guess you could include that in the total!

So for the second month in a row I am total in love with a box! WOW, I hope that they stay this good. But I do not think that they can keep this up, but I hope they try! If you are interested here is a link  to Popsugar (a referral link from me)Let me know what you think! Leave me a message in the comment box!

Next up will be my Ipsy. Not nearly as impressive as last months, but check back!
